Hold tight to their memory.
Grieving has its own timetable. Our videos are there for you 24/7. The loss of a loved one can an overwhelming experience. And yet, the desire to remember and honor the person you've lost is universal. There are many ways to keep their spirit alive. The advantage of a video is that it is an easy place to go when you need to connect with the spirit of your lost friend or family member. It's also a place you can visit 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
Our videos take a little extra time to create, but they're worth it. An important caveat is that the videos we create--with personal interviews and a mixture of video and audio--take longer to assemble than the typical funeral slide show or photo board. (We like to estimate between 3-4 weeks, depending upon how many people we interview or how many photos and video elements are involved.) For that reason, Hold Tight Video productions seem to work best for memorials or tributes held weeks after the actual loss. With more families choosing cremation and with celebration ceremonies often being held weeks, sometimes months after your loss, this gives you time to deal with minutiae of mourning and us time to make you a great video.
We need a family advocate to make a great video. Also, it's important that we have someone close to the family who can help us collect materials, organize interviews and communicate with the venue where the video will be presented. It may seem like the last thing you want to think about just after someone dies, but knowing how much healing and comfort our videos can offer, we think the extra effort is well worth it.
